Please Urge the Governor to Veto
AB 606 and AB 1056
The California legislature has sent the governor two bills, AB 606 and
AB 1056, that would be very harmful to California’s children
if he signs them into law.
These bills would all further indoctrinate California school children to
accept homosexuality, bisexuality and transgenderism as normal and acceptable
lifestyles and behaviors. (A brief summary of each bill is included below.)
The only chance now to prevent these bills from becoming law is if the governor
vetoes them. We are urgently requesting that you call and/or e-mail him immediately
and ask him to veto both of these bills! EVEN IF YOU HAVE CONTACTED
HIM ALREADY ON ONE OR THE OTHER OF THESE BILLS, PLEASE CONTACT HIM AGAIN AND EXPRESS
YOUR OPPOSITION TO BOTH!
Please take the following steps:
Step 1
Fill in your name and address in the boxes below so that the governor will
know that you are a constituent. Your name and address will be automatically
included in your e-mail.
Step 4
Help spread the word to others
You can send the suggested e-mail message below (which you can also edit
as you wish) to others by filling in their names and addresses in the boxes

Brief Description of AB 606 and
AB 1056
AB 606 would authorize the Superintendent of Public Instruction
to withhold state education funding from any school district that is not implementing
a state mandated policy to prevent “discrimination and harassment based
on specified characteristics, including, but not limited to, actual or perceived
gender identity and sexual orientation.” It further requires the Superintendent
to develop this policy and, by giving him the power to withhold a district’s
funding, also effectively gives him the power to force all school districts
to accept and implement it.
AB 1056 would divert $250,000 in scarce education dollars
to promote homosexuality, bisexuality and transgenderism as normal and acceptable
behaviors and lifestyles under the guise of tolerance education.
